The yard

My backyard is....scary.  Goatheads (pointy seeds of doom that will leave scars if you step on them), foxtails, insects, those plants no one knows the name of that have the poisonous yellow berries.  After only living in here for 6 years, we finally hired someone to do the yard. I am so excited but it has been kinda strange.
The team that is working is never consistent with time.  They give us a time and always show up at a different time or date.  I didn't give them a finishing date for this (totally regretting this) and they are taking forever.  It took a good 4 days for the sprinkler system to be done.  However I do not know how long that normally takes so perhaps I am complaining about nothing.

One of the guys smokes and it is a little sad to see cigarette butts on the ground.  And they leave a lot of trash around.  I am sure they will clean up but still it is a little sad.

Today I came home and they had planted the tree.  I asked for a 9 year old Santa Rosa Plum Tree.  In my back yard was a purple 3 year old purple leaf plum tree that makes flowers but no fruit.  It's pretty but I was totally excited to have a plum tree. Unfortunately since the tree was planted, it could not be returned.  With some discussion we decided to put two trees in the back yard.  Hopefully they will get the right tree tomorrow.
