7 weeks to go til baby

Joe and I handed the kid off to my parents on Saturday night and were able to go to the Ren Fair all day on Sunday. (yes, we are sinners) The day was beautiful with no wind and wasn't hot. We were able to make it the whole day by sitting at a lot of the shows. We even got to see 2 shows of my favorite act, Don Juan and Miguel. I was laughing so hard I was crying. For those of you who take kids to the Ren Fair, I do not recommmend this one. Dirty Dirty Dirty but oh so funny. We also got to see a sword swallower who's most impressive trick was swallowing an entire balloon. I mean one of those 3 foot animal balloons before it is turned into an animal. He swallowed the whole thing and somehow popped it inside of him and burped at us. It was pretty gross but when you get to do that for a living it has got to be worthwhile. We didn't look at too many shops, every 10 minutes or so I needed to either sit or find a restroom. Ren fair is not the best place for a needing to go potty right now pregnant woman, there were quite a few lines. We finished the night off with a turkey leg, 32 oz Dr.Pepper and the London Broilers show. We were invited to the show by one of the actors while I was getting my soda. With a personal invite like that we couldn't resist. It was a group of three jugglers, who seemed to have had a long day and decided to "wing" it instead of following a show plan. That was the best show we saw all day. The jokes were hysterical almost all relating to some geek movie and none of the jokes were on purpose. We saw very little juggling because they were laughing so hard at their own jokes. I prefer improv any day even if I don't get to see the purpose of the show.

Afterward we picked up Collin at Florence Junction where my parents were waiting. My dad expressed that we needed to move closer so he could play with Collin more. He seems to be in awe with his intelligence and interest in wheels. I wished we could be closer, but I really do not want to live in Coolidge, Casa Grande or any of those other towns. They have changed too much in the last 5 years it is kinda scary.

Speaking of moving, our little family is moving in June. We have no idea where. It will be in the state of AZ though. Joe's job is allowing him to work from home if he wants to without any change in his salary or benefits. So that leaves us a lot of options. We just can't decide between the closeness to family, escaping the heat or the convenience of staying in the valley.......,

I can't...

I can't do this anymore. I wonder if I was meant to be a mommy. Collin is driving me to the point of panic attacks and anger I didn't know I had. My OB wants me to go see a cardiologist for the "attacks" but I feel to chicken to do it. This child beast does not stay in bed. I wouldn't care if he slept with us but he doesn't want that either. He wants to roam the house and tear it to pieces. I am tired, the pregnancy is making me tired and I can't handle this kid. I need a nap in the daytime but Collin fights naps for about 2 hours. I don't know why, it is clear that he is tired. All we do is yell at each other. Even when I put in the effort to play it ends unpleasant within 2 minutes because he throws something at me or breaks something to see my reaction. No punishment works. Time outs make him giggle. Spankings have about 10 seconds of effect and then he starts his evil doings again. Talking doesn't work. He repeats everything you say so you feel like he is mocking you. Sending him to room doesn't work because he will just tear things apart. I don't know what to do with him.

I am done being pregnant. I want my body back. I have never been this fat before or this exhausted. I have also never been this forgetful. I started leaving myself notes so that I remember to do simple stupid things (if I remember to read the notes) I never did get that pregnancy glow. Oh well only 8 weeks left.

I want to be done with the cubscouts. There is no appreciation there. Not from the scouts or from their parents. I feel like I am just a free babysitter and have to give them reminder notes every other day in order for anything to get accomplished. The parents don't care, the kids don't care, ........why should I?

Maybe all of my problems is hormones. If something goes wrong I want to cry. If something finally goes right, I am too tired or affected by the bad to appreciate it. I don't know what to do...hopefully it will get better soon.

Everyone should have an Uncle Carter

Exercise:
Tuesday: chased Collin around the apartment complex for 40 min
Thursday: Walked the zoo for 1 1/2 hours.

The pics above are of collin and carter at the zoo from Thursday and the other one is Collin sleeping in the dresser that he decided to take apart. (it looks like a coffin *creepy*) Immediatly after we took him out to put him to bed, the drawer above him colopsed down completely. Another I am not sure how my kid is still alive scenarios.

Sorry, but the exercise thing is not going to happen for a bit.
Our family decided to share a 3 week cold that decided to suck the energy out of me. Luckily Joe didn't get it very bad and was able to watch our monster whenever he was home from work.
I want to do stuff, I want to be energetic. I want to accomplish. But...I am so very tired. This pregnancy makes me very sleepy and whether I take a nap or stay up all day, I have insomnia at night. Yeah for late night dumb TV. Did anyone else get insomnia from pregnancy or am I the only one?

My sweet little Collin has turned into a bear. A very intelligent bear. If you put him down for a nap and leave the room he tends to disassemble....things. He took apart his dresser. I mean he took the drawers out and then took the drawers apart. He took apart his lamp...I don't know how he survived that one. He takes apart the books that make sounds because he wants to know where the sound is coming from. But besides taking things apart he pretty much knows his whole alphabet and can count to fourteen. Not bad for a 2 year old eh? But still sometimes I NEED him to sit back and relax instead investigate every little thing. I need him to sit and cuddle instead run from room to room looking for something new to study.

Maybe this next little baby will be my lazy child that hugs. (hopefully not clingy though) Speaking of next baby, I need a name for this child. It is supposedly a boy according to the ultrasound guy but not once in the video do you see boy parts. You don't see girl parts either. This is one shy little kid. We have ideas for girl names but I need boy names. The rules are is that it can not be common and that it can not start with a "C". Suggestions are welcome.
