I Love the 80's

I went to a birthday party last night and theme was the 80's. Finally I had a reason to dig out my old hair crimper. My best friend Donna and I went to Saver's and found some old t-shirts. I found a Goonies shirt that I shredded and some rainbow leg warmers. Good times, but I am sad we didn't take any full body pics.

Snow Day

Yay for snow. Our little family went to my brother's house to have a snow day over New Year's weekend. Unfortunately we could not find a snow suit that was tall enough for Joe. We didn't get to stay too long because Melody started to freeze. And yes, one of the photos is 4 decapitated elk heads. My dad parked right next to this dark mound and the second you got out of the truck there were elk heads.........no, I don't know why.............

Another Day Another Semester or I Made a Movie

First semester of my Master's degree over and done with. All A's!! Yippee! These courses are a lot of work mentally. A lot of less test and facts but more deeper thinking and trying to find solutions to today's public school systems gone wrong. The hardest part is that my professor's assume that we have all been teachers before and have experience. My lacking experience is kind of difficult when it comes to projects and papers. Another semester and we shall see if I continue to survive.
I also made a video for my tech class. Not too shabby for a first try.

Turtle anyone?

This is our local turtle enterprise. Here he is with his merchandise on Attaway Road. I have seen him expand his territory and will wait for turtle purchasers in Superior. I wanted to stop just to learn about where he gets his turtles and how much he sells them for....but I didn't want to get his hopes up. He has been around for a while so he must be selling an abundance of turtles. Or maybe a ton of turtles. Or maybe he isn't really selling turtle toys and wares but is really bringing around turtle awareness?

Christmas Burn for my Mom

Every year I get my mom a nativity set for Christmas. This year, I just couldn't find the right one (especially for a reasonable price). So with time running out, I burned one for her. This picture is used a lot in the LDS church and turned into a beautiful burn. Creating "people" is really difficult for me when I do art, so this one didn't turn out too bad. I especially love how Joseph's hair and beard turned out. All of the details turned (this pic isn't very good).
