Today in school we were learning how electricity moves. We learned the definition of Conductor, Insulator, and Resistor. The kids were just not getting it, so I used football as a metaphor. I gave them scenarios of how a quarterback could burst through quickly to the end zone (conductor). How a large blocker guy could immediately stop a quarterback from moving (Insulator) and how a tiny blocker guy being dragged by a huge guy carrying the football would slow down the huge guy. (Resistor). I think when I threw in sports they got it. YAY science! side note- Do not make fun of me on my football terms. It was good enough for kids.
