Severe Ear Pain

I have some weird ear infection. I got it last week sometime and went to urgent care. Doctor prescribed an antibiotic for an inner ear infection. By the weekend the whole side of my face was pounding and swollen. We had Quintin blessed on Sunday and when everyone left I thought my ear was going to explode. I was going to wait til Monday to go back to the urgent care but couldn't wait that long. By 2:00AM on Monday morning, I grabbed the baby and went to the ER while Joe stayed home with Collin. My neck was so swollen I couldn't lift my head up. The doctor there told me I didn't have an inner ear infection but an ear canal infection so the antibiotics I was taking weren't going to help the problem at all. Since my ear was almost swollen shut, she stuck a temporary tube in my ear canal so that medicine could actually travel in my ear.

I finally got home around 4:30 AM. I took some percocet and went to sleep for 40 minutes before I had to feed a baby. Around 9:00AM I called a friend to watch Collin for me. She offered to take him the whole day since I wasn't functioning at all. Today I still do not feel any better. My sweet friend took Collin again for me. I feel sad because she is about 12 weeks pregnant and has 2 kids under the age of 3. Oh well at least Collin loves it there. Hopefully these meds will make things feel better by this evening or I have no idea what I am going to do. I would rather have a cold than this anyday. Especially since Collin is a screamer and it makes my ear hurt that much more.
