Joe and I handed the kid off to my parents on Saturday night and were able to go to the Ren Fair all day on Sunday. (yes, we are sinners) The day was beautiful with no wind and wasn't hot. We were able to make it the whole day by sitting at a lot of the shows. We even got to see 2 shows of my favorite act, Don Juan and Miguel. I was laughing so hard I was crying. For those of you who take kids to the Ren Fair, I do not recommmend this one. Dirty Dirty Dirty but oh so funny. We also got to see a sword swallower who's most impressive trick was swallowing an entire balloon. I mean one of those 3 foot animal balloons before it is turned into an animal. He swallowed the whole thing and somehow popped it inside of him and burped at us. It was pretty gross but when you get to do that for a living it has got to be worthwhile. We didn't look at too many shops, every 10 minutes or so I needed to either sit or find a restroom. Ren fair is not the best place for a needing to go potty right now pregnant woman, there were quite a few lines. We finished the night off with a turkey leg, 32 oz Dr.Pepper and the London Broilers show. We were invited to the show by one of the actors while I was getting my soda. With a personal invite like that we couldn't resist. It was a group of three jugglers, who seemed to have had a long day and decided to "wing" it instead of following a show plan. That was the best show we saw all day. The jokes were hysterical almost all relating to some geek movie and none of the jokes were on purpose. We saw very little juggling because they were laughing so hard at their own jokes. I prefer improv any day even if I don't get to see the purpose of the show.
Afterward we picked up Collin at Florence Junction where my parents were waiting. My dad expressed that we needed to move closer so he could play with Collin more. He seems to be in awe with his intelligence and interest in wheels. I wished we could be closer, but I really do not want to live in Coolidge, Casa Grande or any of those other towns. They have changed too much in the last 5 years it is kinda scary.
Speaking of moving, our little family is moving in June. We have no idea where. It will be in the state of AZ though. Joe's job is allowing him to work from home if he wants to without any change in his salary or benefits. So that leaves us a lot of options. We just can't decide between the closeness to family, escaping the heat or the convenience of staying in the valley.......,

It sounds like you got just the break you needed. How fun, other than the lack of handy restrooms (I hate that).
Everyone needs a break - glad you could get one. And the Renaissance Festival is a fun place to be. Good luck on your moving decision.
