So here are my random sunflowers that I didn't plant but somehow magically sprung up. I planted seeds last year and had sunflowers but for some reason I have more this year, in very random places (not in the flower bed), and are completely ginormous. There is one for each member of the family, including the cat and our dear friend Donna. Quintin made this epiphany and named them all. You can probably tell which one is daddy's. I have no ideas what breed (species?) (type?) they are. I didn't know sunflowers could grow so many flowers on them at once. Super purty.

wow - those are awesome - I love sunflowers. I have a packet of seeds on my desk waiting to be planted - maybe around memorial weekend it will be warm enough outside to put them in the ground. Meanwhile, I just planted nasturtiums inside to give them an early start.
