We went to Central this weekend to visit family and see the new baby. Here is Max and Quintin playing on the porch. Look at the height difference. Max is six months older than Quintin. Also Quintin is not standing up straight in this picture. It won't be long until Quintin is big enough to fight back with Max and Collin.
Here is the new LDS Temple Site in Central. The groundbreaking ceremony was on February 14th. What is really cool is that Lavan's house is literally a field away from where the temple will be.
A long time ago (a year?) I took Grandma C to Pima with me to drop off at Pennut's house. Anyway, on the way she pointed to a hill and told me that every time she and Grandpa passed that hill, Grandpa would describe it as soldiers marching down the hill. Grandpa Carter called it soldier hill or soldier mountain.

I remember her telling me that story, too. I hope we don't lose all of these wonderful stories.
He called it that because years ago, it was covered with saguaro's and they looked like they were marching up the hill. Then one year it got really cold and a lot of them froze and died. Not so many of them left now. Yep - we need to do more driving around with Grandma and take along a tape recorder - sometimes she needs to just see things to remember all kinds of things. I know the last time I was in Pima with her just drove her around town asking her to show me all the places we used to live but didn't write or record anything that she said that day. :(
