I have turned in all my paperwork to become a substitute teacher. It will still be a bit of wait until the fingerprint thinger gets done though. We shall see what happens and hopefully my courage to do this will not dwindle by then. Am I ok with leaving my babies behind 2-3 times a week. Or better yet, if Collin doesn't get into preschool this semester, am I brave enough to set this little beast on someone else. I think Bri can handle him but can anyone else who is willing?
Madison and Collin helped me plant random flower seeds in the front yard. Hopefully something will grow. We planted a lot in hopes something will turn up. I think I really want something to appear so that the kids don't think I am a liar. I told them pretty plants will appear in 2 weeks and maybe they will turn into flowers. Oh well, if doesn't happen we will plant already bloomed plants instead so they can see some results.
Quintin's first birthday is coming up and I need a theme. I am a theme fiend and for once I can't think of anything. Themes that can not be used are sesame street, Cars, and castles/dragons. I don't want to repeat Collin's themes yet. Someone asked me what movie does Quintin watch and that could be your theme. The only movie this kid really watches is The Simpson's Movie. NOT the best theme for a one year old's party. I know I am a bad mommy to let me kid watch this, but it lets me get dinner cooked without tripping over a little critter.

Monsters Inc. I love that movie!
Monsters Inc is the best. I remember when we moved to CA in '75 and the landlord said he planted flower seeds in the flower beds around our little concrete patio. Every day, I would go out and water them so they would grow. Finally something sprouted and they were growing so great - then Grandpa came over to see me and when he walked into the patio and saw me watering my "flowers", he asked me why I was watering the weeds. Not a single flower ever came up but the weeds were sure healthy looking. I hope your flowers grow beautifully.
familyfun.com has a lot of fun themed party ideas. Good luck finding one. I loved substitute teaching, I did it for a year when Jason was in 2nd grade. I loved the fact that I could pick the days I worked, and not work if I needed to be home.
