Happy New Year/ Anniversary

For an anniversary gift my parent's took Collin for the weekend. This left us with time to take down Christmas and organize for the new baby. We also got to spend new year's eve kidless. I wish I could say we went to the biggest bash in the city but it didn't really happen.
Around 5:30 pm we went to Target to see if we could find an outdoor firepit for our anniversary gift. Then we drove to Bookman's which was closed and then headed toward Superstition hoping something would be open to go and play at. We decided we would give in and spend the $100 and go to the Melting Pot for dinner. They had a $175 per couple set menu so we backed out. We then drove to Golf Land and played a round of goofy golf (7:00-8:00) We then went to Olive garden for dinner and killed another hour. At 9:00 we went to the casino to see what was happening there. There wasn't an actual party happening but there were so many people that you had to wait in line just to use a slot machine. So at 9:30 we left that scene.
We then decided maybe something was happening on Main St but there was nothing. We started to head home and decided to rent a movie at Blockbuster. They closed at 10. It was now 10:15.
And then.......we gave up and went home. At midnight we listened to all the people in our crazy neighborhood screaming in drunken words "Happy New Year!" as they shot off lots of gun shots.
It was truly a magical night. I think we used up almost a half a tank of gas.

Anyways, our anniversary isn't til the 3rd, but unfortunetely I have Webelos that night. Would it be so bad if we cancelled scouts for the 3rd week in a row?

I am still thinking about it.....

(sorry polly I still can not think of my weird things yet)

Sounds like fun anyway! Its Tempe that has the "block party" I have never been... not a big partier even on New Years.

As soon as I think of the weird things for you - that are different than the rest of the weird things that the rest of us put - I'll email the list to you. Happy Anniversary!
